MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The Latin Pop mainstream has been affected by his global impact. Una Lady Como Tu, his hit from 2016, won the Colombian Kids Choice Award in 2017 for Best Song. His debut album was a long-player ADN with the Sony-owned company based in Medellin, La Industria Inc. Its Top Latin Albums chart ranked the album at 8. Vaina Loca was one of the Top Five hit of Ozuna's Top Five album in 2007 was the album that brought him into Ozuna. He released Dopamina the chart-topping sophomore album in the following year. In 2021, he appeared in a duet with TINI on her streaming smash track Maldita Foto. In 2023, he appeared on 2000, featuring the huge hit La Bachata. Turizo was raised in a musical environment, as both his mother & older brother are professional musicians. In interviews, he has stated that music is compulsory. When he was a kid, he began learning to play the saxophone and the ukulele, and piano. His initial goal was to become a veterinarian His brother Julian advised him to go for lessons in singing with the help of a Cuban teacher. The end result personally discovering his talent as a performer changed the course of his life.
