Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico into a family that included musicians. Her early years were shaped by classical music, boleros and the more traditional romantic, ranchero and romantic ballads. Ana loves tangos as well the dramatic and opera performances. Her mother taught her to sing. However, she started intensive singing lessons with Flavio Belcerra when she was just 16 years old. the singer was famous as a Mexican opera Tenor. Music lessons continued throughout the School of Music of Guadalajara University. In the following years, she was a student at an institution called the School of Sacred Music of Toluca. Her early professional career was spent performing with various opera choruses, chamber groups in Guadalajara. After relocating in California in United States in 2000, she performed with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before moving to her present home in the southern part of California. She sings in Ensemble XXI Redlands, and performs Latin American traditional music solo at many private events. She is involved with many local projects, both as a teacher and performer because of her passion of music and art. Ana is also an ex-member of the Community Chorus of Redlands. The Inland Master Chorale. and the Performance Loft. Ana is hoping that, by sharing her knowledge of Latin American traditional songs, to instill a passion, particularly among the younger generation, for keeping this music vibrant.
